The Huskies offense is one of the tops in the nation right now. Theodosopoulos leads the WCHA and the nation in goals scored with 5. Senior Julia Tylke leads the WCHA in assists and is tied with Junior Ella Shelton from Clarkson for the national lead at 7. Tylke also is tied for the lead in the WCHA in points, also at 7.

As a team, the Huskies are scoring 3.50 goals per games, good for 7th in the nation.

The Huskies hope to hold on to the offensive fire power from this weekend when they open WCHA play against the #3 Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The series is a home and home. The first game will be at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on Oct. 12 at 6:07. The second game will be at Ridder Arena on Oct. 13 at 4:07. Both games will be on the KVSC sports stream.

• The tandem both have starts on a Friday and a Saturday.

• Alder has been pulled into OT in both of her games so far this year.

• I was disappointed with the look of Connecticut’s rink last week. It looked like the game was being played in a High School rink.

• The Goals in a period record that was topped Friday night was set in the Huskies Inaugural season 98-99

• Senior night was on Saturday in the first home series of the year, not the last home series.
