August of 2005

2.)     What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC and what programs have you hosted in the past?

After 6 long years I’m hosting the Classic Rock Show Pt. 1! Over the years I

3.)    Please list some of the artists and musicians you consider to be a must play on your show(s)?

Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Allman Brothers, Cat Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, the Guess Who. KVSC has such a wide variety of artists that I can literally go

from week to week and not repeat artists during the classic rock show.

4.)    Why are you involved with independent community radio at 88.1 FM?

I was frustrated of hearing the same old crap on commercial classic rock

stations and heard KVSC had a classic rock show with two parts. As well as

being an independent public radio station run largely by students, volunteers and community members I thought this was my chance to get

involved and make a difference musically to what people heard on the

5.)    What is in your personal CD player, iPod, or mp3 right now (BE HONEST)?

Putumayo World Music: Gypsy Groove, Paul McCartney: Red Rose Speedway, Band on the Run, Venus and Mars, and Wings at the Speed of Sound, Best of the Guess Who

I honestly don’t know if I have had one.

7.)    What are your hobbies and interest?

Reading, playing video games, watching Netflix, going for walks, and bike rides. Playing with my three cats and oh yeah MUSIC!

8.)    When you are not at work or KVSC, where can you most likely be found?

I would most likely be at SCSU finishing up a double major in Geography and History or at my apartment.

9.)    If it were the end of the world and you could only take five things with you, what would they be (BE HONEST)?

My life partner, our cats, and Led Zeppelin IV

10.)  What do you think is the future of radio?

I honestly don’t know but I fear more corporate takeover of independent radio, but at the same time I feel the internet could provide for a revival ofindependent, underground radio stations.
