1.     When and why did you get involved with 88.1FM?

Fall of 2016. I actually signed up as part of a requirement for a class, but I fell in love with KV during my training.

2.     What show(s) do you currently host on KVSC?

I host The Area on Monday nights from 7pm-9pm. It's 2 hours of local Minnesota music, and it's my favorite show to do. I'll also fill in wherever I can.

3.     Please list some of the artists and musicians that you consider a must play on your show(s).

Lizzo, Hippo Campus, Beck, Jack White, Insects vs. Robots, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Naughty Professor, Pink Floyd, Violent Femmes, any new exciting local artists, the list goes on and on...

4.     What music do you listen to when you’re not tuned into KVSC?

Tool, Morphine, A Perfect Circle, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Raconteurs, Bach, Kendrik Lamar, Stravinsky, Vulfpeck, and Pink Floyd. Always Pink Floyd.

5.     What is the most embarrassing (perhaps even shameful) music phase you have gone through?

I feel no shame for my past musical preferences. Maybe I'm not super proud to admit to my One Direction phase, but it's all a part of the journey.

6.     What are your hobbies and/ or interests?

I'm a musician first and foremost, so I spend a lot of my time practicing/rehearsing with ensembles, friends, and by myself. I play a few instruments, but I focus on guitar, keys, and my first love- clarinet. I'm a big nature nerd, so I really enjoy hiking, swimming, kayaking, and general outdoor lounging. Also I have really great friends, so we like to take part in various forms of debauchery together.

7.     When you are not at work or KVSC where can you most likely be found?

Either in the practice rooms at SCSU, enjoying a nice cup of coffee somewhere, the Quarry Park, sleeping, or wandering the streets.

8.     What’s the most challenging part of being a radio DJ?

Probably formatting my shows so that they are consistently entertaining, fresh, and informative.

9.     What would you like to be doing in five years?

In general, I'd like to be playing lots of music, seeing the world, and still supporting KVSC however I can :)
