Archived: Smoke From Canadian Wildfires Could Affect St. Cloud

St. Cloud could be affected by smoke from Western Canadian wildfires.

St. Cloud State meteorology professor Bob Weisman says smoke initially passed into Minnesota from the northwest on Wednesday. This has caused the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to issue an air quality alert. The worst conditions are expected to be in the Red River Valley.

People with heart conditions and a history of breathing problems should stay indoors, along with children and seniors.
