Minnesota public schools will be recognizing school boards next week.

St. Cloud Area School District 742 says they will be joining other Minnesota school districts to celebrate School Board Recognition Week. The week is designed honor board members for all the work that they do, along with helping to build awareness about what board members do.

School boards try and raise student achievement by focusing on constant improvement and creating a vision for schools that the community can get behind.

School Board Recognition Week lasts from Monday, February 18 to Friday, February 22.
