Archived: Relief Fund Created For Displaced Students After Apartment Fire

A relief fund has been set up for students who lost their homes in an apartment fire.

Jeff Wood of St. Cloud State University Communications says that the goal for the St. Cloud State University Foundation campaign is $2,500. As of 2 p.m on Tuesday, $2,300 have already been raised for the displaced students.

Extra money that goes past the goal will go towards future student emergencies.

In the early morning of September 8, the Cedar Row apartment building on 7th Avenue South went up in flames. 68 people were displaced, including 47 St. Cloud State students.

The students have been offered temporary housing by Student Life and Development. If you would like to donate, you can go to the campaign website.
