Archived: Prince Charles Meets St. Cloud Students During Visit To Alnwick Castle

St. Cloud State students had an opportunity to speak with royalty on Thursday while studying abroad.

Anna Kurth of St. Cloud State University Communications says that Prince Charles, the oldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, spoke to St. Cloud State students when he visited Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.

Six students were able to speak to the Prince of Wales: Kendal Theisen of St. Cloud, Kaylie Abbott of Carver, Abigail Barr of Ramsey, Austin Barsness of Brandon, McKenna Klaphake of Blaine, and Gabriel Legierski of Ham Lake.

The prince was visiting Alnwick Castle as part of a charity visit to Northumberland. The students are studying communication studies and British history and culture while occupying the 11th century castle.
