Archived: Newly Expanded Sherburne County Judicial Building To Hold Opening Ceremony

The government center for Sherburne County has been expanded and are holding a grand opening ceremony to celebrate.

The Minnesota Judicial Branch says that the Sherburne County Judicial Building in Elk River is now about 100,000 square feet. The expansions include five new courtrooms, with additional space creating room for two more in the future.

The building originally built in 1980 now also provides services near the entrance, including public computer access, the Sherburne County Law Library, and court administration service windows.

The ceremony will be held on June 6 starting at 3 p.m. with tours going from 3:30-6 p.m. The expanded building will be opening on June 11.
