A Little Falls man has been charged with murder in the death of his aunt.

The St. Cloud Police Department went to a home in the 100 Block of Highway 10 where 62-year old Julie Vogelsang was found unresponsive. She was unable to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead at the scene on May 3.

Investigators were able to discover that Vogelsang died of a drug overdose from a mixture that included heroin. The investigation later found her nephew, 28-year-old Matthew Vogelsang, had given her the heroin. 

The younger Vogelsang was arrested in the Little Falls area on Tuesday. A compaint warrant was issued on Thursday with charges of third degree murder and fourth degree controlled substance. He is currently being held in Morrison County Jail and will moved to Benton County Jail to be held for court for his charges.
