St. Cloud State University says Meaghan Pezon has signed with the Minnesota Whitecaps for their first season in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL). The 30-year-old skater has played for the Whitecaps since 2010, when her college career ended.

Pezon had a successful collegiate career for the Huskies, totaling 95 points in 137 career games. When she graduated, she ranked fifth in school history in assists with 54 and her point total ranked sixth.

The Whitecaps have been around since 2004, when they were established by current head coach Jack Brodt in St. Paul. They join teams from Buffalo, Boston, Connecticut and New York in the NWHL.
